Let me tell you something amazing. Your dreams are not a coincidence or something that you just conjured up in your head. Dreams are divine signals from God, informing you on the purpose He has marked out for you from the beginning of time. It is up to you, how you use your time, money, gifts and abilities with which you are endowed.
From personal experience, I will tell you that working on your dream is initially time-consuming but worth it. It is also an emotional journey. What matters is who believes in your vision, even if it is one person encouraging you to go on. Now I want you to do a lot of introspection and answer honestly – are you really going after your dream? My Pastor once told us that the graveyard is the wealthiest place in the world – people have died with their potential untapped, homes not built, presidents who did not make it to office, and many other sad stories.
Go does something amazing each time you take your purpose seriously. He opens doors for you when you least expect it. He honours somebody who takes the time to nurture his/her dream. You will stumble across times of loneliness. There are challenges but there is also good news: you will find people who will buy into your dream. God brings them into your life to assist you, do not leave Him out of the equation and do not give credit to the Universe.. for crying out loud He made the universe!
”Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets that he may run who reads it, for the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak and not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. Habbakuk 2:2
Note what God Himself says about following the vision/purpose of your life:
1. You must write it down clearly. This includes making a timeline of the things you would like to achieve and the process involve.
2. Involve others, like mentors, teachers, whoever. You have to use wisdom and discretion though, that is why it is important for us to seek God and His wisdom gaily. God will cause your plans to succeed but He is a gentleman, He will not force His way into your life. You must ask Him.
3. God has made an appointed time for ALL THINGS. You just need to faithfully work while He leads you. Use discretion and wisdom that is why the Bible stresses on asking God for wisdom.
4. Dreams go through stages and take time. Do not despair. All is well.
So decide what you will do. Remember, your dream is yours and belongs to nobody els. Do not let anyone steal that away from you. Grace be with you.
