Overcoming Negative Situations

Posted on

Hello! I am confident that you are keeping well and that you have so far enjoyed the beginning of your year. If you have had a shaky start, do not despair, things only get better.

I want to talk about overcoming negative situations because at times we tend to experience unexpected situations and they are usually very painful to deal with. We will experience setbacks from time to time but God always makes a way for each one of us and the best thing you can do for yourself is to learn how to cope during those trying times.

Here are a couple of things I do when I am going through difficult times:

1. Choose not to focus on the problem too much but instead on what I can learn from it.

2. Begin doing things that you enjoy and take a bit of time out for yourself so that you feel less stress. Just make sure that you are busy with something.

3. Often times we never deal with the root issue of why we have these problems. Do some soul searching and be honest with yourself. What experiences or issues do you have that have made you end up in such a mess? If the same pattern of problems re-occurs, then there definately is something you need to work out.

4. Understand that it will take some time. Nothing heals overnight. But over time, you will be fine.

I hope this has encouraged you! Stay blessed.
