What Do YOU want?

Posted on

Morning beautiful people!

The title of this post is a question that many of us have often asked ourselves..

I can tell you from personal experience, wisdom and observation that if you do not live according to the principles which you know will draw you to a life of peace, joy and success, you will become frustrated and eventually burnout. This happens because internally your true sense of being wants to come out but because you are caught up in a cycle of trying to be what your external circumstances dictate, you become a mere shadow of who you really are.

Trust me when I say, you must give up this facade and be yourself. Seriously. I am not joking. Have you heard the story of the two shepherds? The sheep were wandering about and he was the borrowed shepherd who was meant to protect them but when the wolf came, the man ran and let the wolf devour the helpless sheep because he was not their shepherd. But then on the other side of the farm, was a shepherd who had his kraal of sheep and protected them with his life and no wolves would devour them because he cared for them. They were his own.

Can I ask you something? Which shepherd are you allowing to lead your life? Are you allowing the shepherd who lies and says you have to conform to certain standards to be acceptable by society? The one who puts fear in your heart and tells you it can’t be done? Or are you listening to the true Shepherd who says you can have another chance at life and start over again… the one who encourages you to build your life as a true representation of who you are? The one who will tell you that you do not have to allow other people’s opinion of you to define you?

It’s your choice. You choose. Nobody else can do it for you.

Have a lovely day. Ezahlady

This is so true Ezah, thank you. I think very few people ever live an authentic life, let alone a life based on principle and lead by the Good Shepherd. Great reminder to keep it real!

      Hi Max!
Well I can tell you from experience that walking away from your authentic self is the worst thing ever. But everyone deserves a second, third… hundredth chance and thats the amazing thing about the Good Shepherd isnt it? We can all make a change. Its not impossible
